Paul's Memories:-
I remember my first GS was at Hereford School and we changed in the Music rooms. The shows at the pier were the best..
We had two dress rehersals on Sunday,Pensioner on Monday, and two shows on the Saturday. A very full week.
It was always a rush to get the 'Finale' finished so we could rush to the Bar for a lemonade (!').
Saturday afternoons after the tea at 1st or 3rd Clee scout huts we all wondered down to 'wounderland' for some fun.All in uniform and
with those silly red dots in our eyes.
One of the best memories was being able to meet ' Ralf '. It was all kept quiet because he was ill and it wasn't confirmed that he would make it.
He had written a very formal number for the girls, in the London GS. All in ballet outfits. Then when he saw Dave Stagg and myself , and others
performing the same piece, in Dr Martins & Tu tu's . This made him smile
